In short: we register and send your order and send you the newsletter if you have indicated that you want to receive it.
Your name, address details, e-mail address, telephone number and, if you have entered it, VAT number are stored in the database. A VAT number is only required for business customers outside the Netherlands who want to use the VAT reverse charge scheme. If you prefer not to enter your telephone number, you can enter a few zeros there. The script checks whether something has been entered but not whether it has been entered correctly.

Due to the direct link, no more prints of invoices are saved. The invoices of the past years are destroyed (shredded and incinerated) as soon as the legal retention period of 7 years has expired. This is only possible for completed and/or canceled orders. If you have ordered without an account, you can always email info@jolieetco.com and your data will be removed from the web shop at your first request. This is final and cannot be reversed.
For the sending of your order, your name and address details and your e-mail address will be transferred to the relevant shipping partner, via a secure web application. For foreign orders, the telephone number is also passed on if available. Shops United stores the address data for 3 months in case an inquiry must be made, after which they are deleted.
To send a newsletter, your name and e-mail address will be forwarded to the MailChimp app (www.mailchimp.com). Mailchimp's site is in English, and here you can find that they are certified to process EU data and how they handle that data. Transaction e-mails are sent through Mailjet secure service. They are also GDPR / AVG certified.
Payment is made using the payment provider Sisow. Sisow is subject to the same laws and supervision as a bank or other payment agency.
In addition, from the moment you log in or the checkout procedure starts, all data is sent encrypted over a secure connection. This means that data is unusable for someone who unexpectedly manages to intercept it along the way. Also, on the administration side of the web shop, we only work with a secure connection and 2-factor authentication.
