This beautiful essential oil comes from the island of Pico, one of the 9 islands of the Azores archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean. All islands have a volcanic origin. With a height of 2351 meters, the Pico is also the highest volcano of this archipelago. The Azores have a constant climate throughout the year, with little temperature variation. The temperature varies between 14.0 and 24.8°C, with August being the hottest month.
This beautiful volcanic island has a special flora, including this Japanese cedar. Originating from Japan and transferred to the Portuguese Azores archipelago in the early 1960s, it grows on very steep terrain, usually between 300 and 800 meters. This species reaches heights of 35 to 45 meters.
Essential oil can be made from the needles, branches and bark and wood. Our essential oil is distilled from the needles and branches. The essential oil has a light-yellow color with a fresh, mild, woody, fruity balsamic aroma on its own.

Cryptomeria mixes well with Bergamot, Cypress, Grapefruit, Lavender, Lemon, Lime, Myrrh, Rose, Sandalwood and Black Spruce.

Contraindications: Use with caution during pregnancy and lactation. Do not use in babies and children < 6 years. Do not use internally!
