About Argan Oil
The argan tree is one of the oldest trees in the world and can live up to 250 years. Originally the argan tree was found in almost all North Africa. And thrives best in a dry and hot climate. Today it only grows in the south of Morocco and belongs to a protected tree species.

Argan oil is obtained from the kernels of the fruit of the argan tree. The fruit of the tree is green and resembles an olive but is larger. Inside is a hard kernel, which can contain up to three grains from which the argan oil is extracted. The traditional production of this oil is demanding, it takes about 100 kg of fruit to make only 2-3 liters. Traditionally, argan oil has been widely used in Morocco as an effective oil for treating dry skin, acne, psoriasis, eczema, wrinkles, joint pain, and skin inflammation. It is also used to prevent hair loss and dry hair.

The argan tree or arganie (Argania spinosa) is the only species in the monotypic genus Argania of the Sapotaceae family.

Properties: Argan oil is rich in omega-6 fatty acids, which means it aids in skin rejuvenation and skin elasticity. Many of the specific properties of argan oil are attributed to its composition of unsaponifiable matter (1% of the total concentration) and a high tocopherol content.
