About Ginger:
Ginger has a long history of use as a spice and is one of the most widely consumed spices in the world. Ginger also has a rich history as a herbal medicine, especially in Asian, Indian and Arab cultures. It is said to have a warming effect and stimulate blood circulation. Ginger is extracted from the rhizome of the ginger plant, Zingiber officinale, of the Zingiberaceae family.
Ginger roots are often dried to improve shelf life. Today, ginger is grown in tropical countries around the world. China and India are still the largest exporters and ginger. China also produces a specific type of ginger, which is especially suitable for confectionery.

The extract contains 30 – 50% essential oil with zingiberene, ar-curcumene, citral (neral, geranial), alpha-farnesene, beta-bisabolene, beta-sesquiphellandrene. 24 – 35% total excitatory compounds including gingerols, shogaols (less than 5%) and small amounts of zingerone.

Ginger has antioxidant effects. Ginger is very analgesic and works well for nausea. It improves blood circulation and aids in tension relief. Use it in massage oils or a relaxing bath. It is also suitable as a fragrance in perfumes, deodorants, shower gels and shampoos. Can be used both internally (*) and externally.

The ginger extract gives food and drinks an interesting, fresh, spicy, and hot taste, which is why the extract is often used in sweets, drinks, alcoholic beverages, and in rice, meat, and other tasty dishes. Ginger products are popular in Asian and European cuisine.
