About German Chamomile
Chamomile is an annual plant of the composite family (Asteraceae). The species is found all over Europe and is widely cultivated in Hungary and Eastern Europe. The true chamomile usually has a fairly strong, sweet scent. The plant can reach a height of 20-40 cm. True chamomile blooms from May to the end of September.

Chamomile is one of the oldest, most widely used, and well-documented medicinal plants in the world and is recommended for various naturopathic uses. One of the most famous herbal teas that is drunk is Chamomile tea. True Chamomile is also known as "German Chamomile". Chamomile extracts are among the gentlest oils, ideal for children, the elderly and those with sensitive skin.

Properties:
Calming, relaxing, soothing. Calms the nerves, strongly relaxing and relieving. Promotes and calms digestion. Regenerates and protects the skin and mucous membranes.

Application:
Chamomile extract is used in both herbal medicine and as aromatherapy. Can be used both internally (*) and externally. Can be used as a seasoning of food, drinks, and confectionery.

Due to its beneficial and deodorizing properties, chamomile extract can be used as an additive in cleaning and care products such as skin creams, body lotion, soap, deodorant and in oral care products. The extract is also suitable as a fragrance in perfumes or other cosmetic products.

Use: Add a few drops on a tissue, in an aroma diffuser, or inhaler. Can be added in limited amounts to a bath or steam bath. Make sure that the correct dosage is used! When in doubt, always consult an expert, certified, aromatherapist.
