Lemongrass has astringent (anti-wrinkle) and skin firming properties. Has an antiseptic effect, promotes blood circulation, and is also anti-inflammatory, lymph-stimulating and analgesic. Well applicable in a homemade deodorant, in which it has a cooling and cleansing effect.
You can add lemongrass as an active ingredient in the composition of an aftershave balm, also for aging men's skin. Also as an active ingredient in cream or lotion for mature skin, or in your own deodorant recipe. In addition, lemongrass is a powerhouse in compresses and wraps for muscle pain and swelling in sprains and bruises.
Tonic for the skin: spray on your face and neck after cleansing (be careful NOT in the eyes!), then apply cream or oil without drying or letting the hydrosol dry out. Powerfully effective in compresses and wraps. The hydrosol also has culinary applications, gives a fresh lemony aroma in salads, sorbets, and lemonades.
